Viral image of an impressive wooden handicraft detected as AI

Not handmade, but AI-made

Recently, a picture of a girl standing beside a huge wooden craft went viral on X (Twitter). The work looked very complex and impressive. Small details were cut in the wood perfectly, and the comments section was full with laudatory opinions. However something felt off. We ran the picture through our AI Image Detector, and it showed 83% AI-generated. The heatmap paid a lot of attention and highlighted the craft itself, as the most suspicious part of the picture.

Amazing human abilities and creations might have AI nature. Such content always provokes a lot of reactions and appraisal, going viral online. Before sharing any wonders, check photos with an image detector.
